Review: M.A.C makeover!

Yesterday I went to Bluewater to have my M.A.C makeover done! I can honestly give it a 10 out of 10! It was my first ever time having a professional do my makeup. So for those who are like me and are a makeover virgin here's what happened.

In December I went in wanting to make a purchase of a new lipstick (Russian red) when I enquired about a makeover. I paid £30 and booked in for January. I was asked what it was for and I said my birthday.

When I went in yesterday I had no clue what was about to happen. I was just more excited about being pampered and coming out looking pretty. When she came over she asked what I was wanting and if I had any photos. I didn't really have a preference and had no photos. The only thing I said was I always play my makeup safe, explaining my holy grail lipstick is lovelorn and I'm never very adventurous. I told her I like the vamp look but I had never been brave enough to try it.

During the makeover she was very helpful. I asked her a few questions about what she was doing and how she did things and she was more than happy to help. I was sat in the chair for about an hour and a half. Seems a long time but really it wasn't.

At the end you get to redeem your £30 you paid for the makeover on products on the counter. I brought the lipstick she used (viva glam III), the lashes I had applied in number 4 and a sponge applicator. Also, you get a little card with the products used on your face on the day so you can come back and buy any you weren't able to on the day. Will be doing this again in the near future no boubt!

Look back: my 20th

So as you may be aware from my last post I was unsure of what to do for my birthday and it took my boyfriend and I until 12 o'clock to decide what to do. Eventually we decided to spend the afternoon in Walworth.

So we first decided to go to Arments pie and mash shop. Now not being a Londoner (or where ever else does this) I had never heard of pie, mash and liquor before. Pie and mash yes, liquor I was very confused on the matter. When my boyfriend first said about liquor I thought 'you put alcohol on your pies?!' However, it's a sauce that is made out of parsley and is of green colour. I have to say it tastes amazing. Arments has been open for over 100 years and the quality of their food is amazing. It's amazingly priced as well!

After pie and mash I was missing Creams from back in my little home town and really wanted one for dessert. This is when I discovered Kaspas. If you have never heard of Creams or Kaspas before they are both Italian gelato and dessert restaurants. It was lovely! I had a Nutella and strawberry crêpe and my boyfriend had a strawberry sundae. We also ordered warm cookie dough to share. This is another restaurant that is reasonably priced.

After our little adventure we came back home where I discovered I had a very pink cake fit for a princess! It even came equipped with it's own tiara!

All in all I had a lovely day. :)

It's my birthday!

It's my 20th birthday today! It suddenly dawned on me about half an hour ago that I'm half way to 40! I literally sat bolt upright in bed and went 'oh no this means I'm half way to 40!' So I have decided now I need to focus on where I want to get to and what I want to do. So I have a few things up my sleeves that I can merge into but it's finding time and money. On a lighter side even though I'm not feeling to good I'm going to make the most of my 20th and enjoy my day. Also any suggestions on what I can do today?
